Through her soul stirring performances and life-transforming compositions, singer-songwriter-actress Latice Crawford has become a favorite in the inspirational music & entertainment community. Blessed with a bold, powerful voice that has drawn comparisons to Whitney Houston and Vanessa Bell Armstrong, the gospel singer's cadre of fans have come to know that the unique musical experience the Bronx, New York-native brings stems from a testimony of triumphs and struggles, which she passionately shares in her music.

Raised the daughter of a preacher, Crawford spent much of her early life heavily involved in the church, serving as choir director, praise and worship leader, and lead vocalist for local ensembles. These experiences provided the perfect training ground for the vocal powerhouse to hone her signature sound and gripping delivery of God's message through gospel music.

In 2016 Crawford released her sophomore project, Diary of A Church Girl.  The critically acclaimed EP garnered Crawford her first Stellar Award nomination, a second Billboard charting album, and brought listeners a deep look into Crawford’s personal relationship with God through songs such as "Author" and “Choose Me". Self-penned and nakedly autobiographical, the project resonates with authenticity in ways that transcend traditional gospel song story lines.

States Crawford, “In our life journey, there are so many different 'medicines' we come to rely on to satisfy our needs, wants, and search for meaning - relationships, money, success, and more.  What I began to realize is that these are temporary fixes only soothe symptoms, but never address the underlying ailment.  For people like me who want more, who want a cure, this project is for them"

"It’s not only Latice Crawford’s powerhouse vocals, athletic melisma, and seemingly bottomless reserves of soul that are bringing audiences to their feet at the Long Wharf Theatre. The force of her rendition of the gospel classic “His Eye is On the Sparrow” is sustained by its dramatic context

-New Haven Independent

“The word “testimony” could be substituted for “diary” in Diary of a Church Girl, Latice Crawford’s introspective and autobiographical follow-up EP.  This is a message that could be extended over a full-length album, but perhaps keeping listeners wanting more is what Crawford is striving for.  And I’d rather listen to 20 minutes of well-considered music than 75 minutes of the same ol’ same ol’. ”

“Latice Crawford’s signature tone and passionate delivery is sure to resonate with audiences everywhere.”
