"One of the most distinctive voices"
"To be the bridge between the world and Christ, we have to be real and tell our stories of going through the same trials as they do. The only difference for us is THE SOURCE of strength we draw from.
This difference saved my life."

ABOUT LATICE CRAWFORD
To watch Contemporary Gospel singer/songwriter Latice Crawford make second runner-up on BET’s Sunday Best or in the live performance video of her 2014 hit 'There', one sees a confident, young woman with short-cropped hair and thin model poise from which an unanticipated, soul-stirring voice emerges. A cadre of fans and followers would come to know that the power in the Bronx, New York-native’s voice and her testimony stem from a life story of struggles and triumphs, and a burning desire to share the extent of both in her lyrics.
Raised the daughter of a preacher, The Bronx native spent much of her early life heavily involved in music ministry, serving as choir director, praise and worship leader, and lead vocalist for local ensembles. These experiences provided the perfect training ground for the vocal powerhouse to hone her signature sound and gripping delivery of God's message through song.
In follow up to her self-titled debut album, Latice makes her anticipated return to the music scene with her stunning sophomore project Diary of a Church Girl, released via an exclusive licensing partnership with EchoPark ARTS Entertainment and distributed by Caroline Distribution, the Independent Services division of Capitol Music.
The critically acclaimed EP debuted at #15 on Billboard's Top Gospel Albums Chart and garnered Latice her first Stellar Award nomination as well as two Billboard Radio Chart singles, "Author" and "Choose Me". Self-penned and nakedly autobiographical, the project resonates with authenticity to connect to listeners in ways that transcend traditional gospel.
Latice's connection with her audience and commitment to ministry that touches the whole-man extends well beyond music. As a contributor to the Huffington Post and Essence, she expounds on a range of topics to include mental wellness, parenting, race relations, and self-care. Latice states, “It is my hope that my ministry, the testimony that God has given me, conveys a relatable journey through the human experience and the power of going through it all with Christ. I want listeners and readers to know that through the ups, downs, struggles, and triumphs, there is a loving God that cares about every aspect of our lives." (more... )
